Doll Narratives

(Continued)

This picture reminds a doll we will call “Cheryl” of its recurring dream of sledding at night in the expansive backyard. The dream becomes a nightmare when the cherub-faced snowmen peppering the snowy hill begin to slide slowly and silently down the hill after Cheryl. The doll becomes frightened and tries to scream as loud as it can with its mouth wide open, but cannot make even a small squeak. No one is there to answer the unmade call for help, anyway. Cheryl wakes up sweating and with a burning throat.
